Your One Audacious Creative Life
‘Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?’
—Mary Oliver
Do you feel like you’re in limbo? Stuck between a life that no longer fits and one you can’t quite see yet?
That in-between place of longing can be lonely. And scary. Like you’ve saved yourself from drowning but you’re not sure which direction to swim next.
I know these waters well. I’ve swum them myself. I left my old life because I was overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, and a chronic autoimmune disease. But I didn’t know what came next.
Over the past four years, I’ve found my way from a half-hearted life into a whole-hearted one. As a result, my illness is under control, and I experience little stress and anxiety.
My path was a lot of trial and error. Yours may be as well. But I want to help you find your way with a bit less pain and struggle than I experienced.
The key, I discovered, was not trying to fill the void with something new.
It wasn’t moving to a new city or country. It wasn’t finding the perfect house or the perfect relationship. It wasn’t becoming someone new. (I tried all of these!)
It was reconnecting with who I really am—my essential creative self. I believe that we are all, at heart, creative beings who need to express ourselves.
But so much can get in the way, blocking our life force and vitality:
The Inner Critic (‘I’m not good enough.’)
Limiting Beliefs (‘I’m not a very creative person.’)
Fear and Anxiety (‘What if I fail?’)
Self-Doubt (‘Who do I think I am?’)
Feeling Stuck Before You Even Begin (‘I don’t know where to start.’)
That’s where I can help.
I had to face all of these, and I will share with you the most effective tools I’ve found to clear energy blocks, get my creativity flowing, and find my way back to myself.
This is the work—not getting a book published or selling a painting or getting hired for your creative work. Those are goals to which a creative practice can lead. But a creative life is something more fundamental.
A grounded, regular creative practice gives us a place to meet our truest selves and feel fully alive again. It is one of life’s greatest gifts—and it’s what I wish for you and everyone who yearns for more from this life.

Hi, I’m Anne Boyd.
I did a pretty audacious thing when I left my successful career as a literature professor and biographer, as well as my marriage, my home, and my country to start over virtually from scratch. I knew that I wanted to live a more creative life, but I didn’t know what that would look like.
Over the past four years, I have traveled, found a new home by the sea, earned a Master’s in Creative Writing, written my first full novel, and studied Quantum Energy Coaching. But more than that, I have found myself again. And I’d like to help you do that too.
